Our theme for September is Beauty. We thought this would be the perfect time to acknowledge again the wonderful work that Darling Media founder, Sarah Dubbeldam is deliberately creating to promote true Beauty.
In this post taken from her website, Sara shares what sets her magazine apart from others (FYI: Darling Magazine is currently celebrating its 10th year anniversary). Sarah and Darling Magazine inspire us with their persistence to push through the boundaries of our cultural view of beauty!
We’re sure you all can relate 😉
Enjoy Darling and our video from our own interview/article with Sara Dubbeldam below.
The Art of Being Darling,
You know when you see a magazine or a website that just captivates you- you want to share it. We felt this way immediately when we came across Darling, Magazine. Not only is their name special and endearing… their mission statement found here is one that we can all embrace.
Founded in 2012, by Sarah Dubbeldam Darling magazine presents four issues a year (all currently online) that truly highlight and are dedicated to “the art of being a woman”. Plus, huge kudos go out to them because they have a no retouching policy of their photos. Women look like they REALLY like. How refreshing!
We are so happy that we were able to speak with Sarah about what inspired her to start Darling,. She’s completely approachable and down to earth while at the same time has continued to create a website that really honors all facets of the feminine.
