Editors Monthly “Share”
Taking a breath during the holiday season, insidewink co-founders and editors, Jean Trebek & Alison Martin, sit together and muse with Luna, the wonder dog.
PLUS they look at what’s up insidewink and share some amazing articles you might have missed…
A Moment in Fall
Jean and I are sitting at her home on her porch. It’s quiet and chilly and the Fall leaves rustle in the wind. We take a breath.
What is coming up for us is the challenge of rounding the corner after a significant change. Some transitions are subtle and some are grand but all are uniquely profound.
For most people, 2020 has been the year of speed bumps, challenges, loss and redirections. There have been moments of tenderness and feelings of loneliness and triumphs of the human spirit and bridges built on solace. We have come together and we have come apart.
Luna sits with us
Luna, Matthew’s dog, puts her head on Jean’s knee. She looks up at us like she knows something. She is fully in the present.
Staying in the present moment is a way to let everything be as it is. We’re not analyzing, we’re allowing life to do life on its terms… not on ours. It feels like we are all collectively holding our breath…
Our hope is that this season brings comfort and peace and compassion. As we let go of 2020, let’s not let our hearts be hardened.
Let’s exhale.

Thank you insidewink.
I have turned to you often during this year of chaos and sadness and was gifted with your kindness. Sometimes in the present moment, painful as it may be, the only thing I can focus on is “this too shall pass.” I’ve been through hell before. In the moment I thought it would never end. But it does. And the glimpses of Heaven come to me when I am present.
May your holidays be filled with miracles. Namaste ❣
