insidewink’s editors monthly “share”
Hello friends,
As we sit in our homes on the phone, we’re writing this letter to you on Friday, March 27th. We have entered into Springtime (here in the Northern Hemisphere) and we are two weeks into the home isolation or quarantine protocol due to the coronavirus.
Isn’t it so ironic that at such a beautiful time of the year, we are going through such a challenging period?
There is so much struggle right now. People are losing jobs and income, health is on the line, hospitalized patients can’t have visitors, we can’t see or hug our loved ones and friends.
When we don’t feel safe we can act irrationally… worries and anxiety can get the best of us.
We started thinking about our theme for this month which is “possibilities” and started asking each other some questions.
Is it possible that we are shifting from seeing the world as a place for “I”, to a time for “we”?
Is it possible that this time is forcing us to support each other?
Is it possible that this time is bringing us into an actual realization and experience of love?
When a great leveler appears, we are given the possibility to allow our best selves to arise.
Looking ahead, here’s what’s coming up…
As usual, we hope to share the good through stories of the common human experience, recipes that you can easily make and affirmations… sometimes these articles will directly relate to where we find ourselves and sometimes they won’t.
I want to give a shout out to our highlighted charity – International Medical Corps. You’ll surely feel inspired by hearing from IMC’s CEO, Nancy Aossey.
We are excited to introduce to you our artist this month- Kimberly Corday and we will continue with Anne’s expert series on education.
Our video coming next week features the beautiful Sheri Keller, who reflects how it’s possible to have wonderful new beginnings at any age.
We will also introduce you to Lisa Rogers – a professional therapist and mom who is trying to help the planet by reducing her plastic use.
We hope you are all safe and sound… we read all our emails and comments so please feel free to reach out to us. You are never alone.
Stay connected to all possibilities
Much love,
Jean & Alison
P.S. Alison’s daughter, Emilia Hagen, did the art for us. Thank you, Emilia!

Living Unhoused for a Week: Ken Craft Takes to the Streets
Ken Craft of Hope of the Valley lives unhoused on the streets of the San Fernando Valley for 100 hours and shares the challenges, insights and struggles he faced on this journey.
As we attempt to see above the chaos of this challenging time, we are given the gift of time. And as we see the beauty of spring surrounding us in California, we are reminded of how nature rebirths itself.
What an opportunity we have. We are given the time to rebirth ourselves! While we are quarantined in our homes we get to reflect on the direction of our lives. Noe is the time to change course, if we desire.
Now is also the time to create and enjoy Jean’s recipes, to revisit insidewink.com and rewatch the interviews that inspired us, the talent of the artists and musicians. And maybe follow Natalie’s advice to get organized.
It is a time of gratitude and forgiveness. What a gift we are given! What miracles we can create.
