Hello friends,
Well, here we are in May…
It’s been over a month of hibernation, isolation, family time, social distancing, loss, gains, TV, chocolate chip cookies, Zoom calls, bandanas, and hours of walking the neighborhood.
If you are anything like us, this daily pattern has caused a lot of feelings, emotions, and thoughts to come up. Sometimes we’re feeling good and sometimes we’ve hit the proverbial wall. As a community, we’ve grieved, and we’ve united… always remembering that there’s no map, no manual, no rules for our current experience.
We are on a maiden voyage together…
with only the compass of our hearts to guide us.
When we are compassionate with both ourselves and others we are truly moving toward a place of healing.
When we are helping in small ways like checking in with friends, making a favorite comfort food for family, generally just being kind and when we serve in big ways like stepping up as a doctor, nurse, or essential worker – we are the best we can be.
Is this the “May flowers”? This triumph of the human spirit? This sense of togetherness? Could it be that the greater lesson will change us forever?
Time will tell… but right now stay safe, give what you can to others, be gentle with yourself.
Looking ahead, here’s what’s coming up…
