Understanding what it means to surrender.
“Surrender is a journey from outer turmoil to inner peace.”
—Sri Chinmoy
Kathleen brings up a really wonderful point about our idea of the word “Surrender”. It really made us think. How many times have I resisted a relaxed open approach because I thought I was “surrendering” – which might mean I’ve lost some sort of battle or control? Can I think of life as a peaceful moving river as opposed to a conflict? Instead of seeing it as a loss, I can ask myself….
“What can I allow to take place now?”
“Surrender to what is. Let go of what was. Have faith in what will be.”
—Sonia Ricotti
